Kay McDonagh.

 Biography

Kay McDonagh is married with two children and lives in Devon.  She has always painted and when her first child went to school in 1986 she decided to turn her hobby into a profession.  She loves cats and dogs, and many of  her paintings are of her own dog Ozzy.

Her other work includes both animal and flower studies.  Kay's studies are always simple with no background painting.  Writing about her work she says "My work is continuously evolving.  I try to capture the essence of the animal and its mood.  Technique is important as watercolours leave little opportunity for corrections, however painting for me is as much about looking and thinking as putting paint on paper.  My hope is that you will enjoy these studies as much as I have enjoyed creating them."
